Salman Khan is my godfather’ – Prem Soni

Debutant director Prem Soni has claimed that Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor despite their age difference make an ‘adorable’ couple on screen. Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor are coming together in Prem Soni’s forthcoming flick, ’Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna’.

Prem Soni said, "The age difference between Salman and Kareena was never a consideration. They make an absolutely adorable couple and complement each other on screen."

The director added, "They look good together in the film as there are no loud moments between them. The film has romantic instances here and there, but it has a very subtle treatment. There are cute scenes in the film and both of them have carried them really well."

Newcomer, Prem Soni has claimed that he considers Salman Khan his ‘Godfather’.

"I had written the script and then fixed an appointment with Salman. His reaction after the narration was overwhelming. All he said was, 'I'm doing it'. That's how the project began. Salman is indeed my godfather in the industry as he is the one who has given me a break,” Prem Soni said.

The director has admitted that it was easy for him to convince Kareena Kapoor for the film.

"I went for the script narration to Kareena in Goa where she was shooting 'Golmaal Returns'. She loved the role and when I told her that Salman is doing the film, she said - 'why would I say no to Salman?’ She instantly agreed. Kareena is such a delight to work with. She is among the finest actors these days. She is so effervescent and so dedicated as an actor," he said.

‘Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna’ will hit the screens on October 16, the same day as much-awaited action flick ‘Blue’ and comedy ‘All The Best’ are releasing. But Prem Soni said that he is calm and has confidence on his film.

"I have no apprehensions. It takes a lot of energy for every filmmaker to make a movie. So there are no hard feelings for anyone. May the best win because they are all of different genres and have their own set of audiences," he said.

Katrina Kaif floored by young fan

Mumbai, Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif got a little more attention than she bargained for while interacting with fans at the Indian Independence Day parade in Houston. A boy actually knocked her down while trying to reach out to her.

“Yes I was knocked off my feet. And I did fall. And considering it was a 12-year-old boy half my size, it did kinda take me by surprise. But I didn’t mind at all. I guess it showed the force of his love for me,” said Katrina.

The actress is quite sporting and doesn’t mind fans getting close…as long as they don’t get personal.

“When you go for these fan interactions you can’t be finicky about people getting too close and not giving you space, etc etc. They do want to shake hands, get themselves clicked, sign papers. I love to mingle with them. And I did so to my heart’s content in Houston and Chicago. So what if some of them got over-excited? Shows how much they love me,” she said.

Katrina, who has given hits like “Singh is Kinng” and “New York”, loves the interactive spirit at NRI gatherings and thinks a direct one-on-one with fans is a truly exhilarating experience.

“There were kids and there were old people. They all reached out,” the star said.
